The Bulldogs had the hot hand early on early as Aniese Palmore (Santa Monica, Calif.), Taylor Howlett (Spokane, Wash.), Jill Jacobs (Camano Island Wash.), and Cierra Lamey (Wise River, Mont.) all cashed in threes in the first quarter. The Bulldogs built a commanding lead in the first half with the help of Kaye Bignell's (Helena, Mont.) 10 points and went into the break leading 53-9.
In the second half Sophomore Britt Cooper (Harrison, Mont.) blocked a YCC guard out on the wing and set the tempo defensively for the rest of the half. The Bulldog defense forced 34 total turnovers, holding Yellowstone to just 15 percent shooting on the night. Kaye Bignell had a game high of 16 points (7-10 FG) along with five boards. In the lopsided victory the Bulldogs got scoring from all 13 players.
Western takes the court again Nov. 3 for a rematch against Yellowstone Christian College at 4 p.m. in the Straugh.
