Story of the Day
The University of Montana Western Bulldogs beat the Colorado State University-Pueblo Thunderwolves 80-78. The Bulldogs started strong, opening up a 25-11 lead after the first quarter. The Thunderwolves chipped away at the lead, cutting it down to just one at the half, and eventually building a five point lead with five minutes remaining in the game. With under a minute remaining Savanna Bignell stole an inbounds pass and made the ensuing layup to give the Bulldogs the lead. They Bulldogs shot free-throws down the stretch to claim the victory. 

Stars of the Game
Brianna King scored 30 points, grabbed five rebounds, and two steals.
Tori Anderson scored 16 points , and grabbed seven rebounds.

Stat of the Game
The Bulldogs shot 47 percent for the game. 
For the first time this season the Bulldogs committed more turnovers than their opponents

The game was an exhibition match for the Bulldogs, who remain 3-0 on the season. The Thunderwolves fall to 1-2
