The University of Montana Western Bulldogs beat the Colorado State University-Pueblo Thunderwolves 80-78. The Bulldogs started strong, opening up a 25-11 lead after the first quarter. The Thunderwolves chipped away at the lead, cutting it down to just one at the half, and eventually building a five point lead with five minutes remaining in the game. With under a minute remaining
Savanna Bignell stole an inbounds pass and made the ensuing layup to give the Bulldogs the lead. They Bulldogs shot free-throws down the stretch to claim the victory.Â
