No. 9 Bulldogs Take Down No. 12 Our Lady of the Lake

Story of the Day
The ninth ranked Montana Western Bulldogs survived their first real test of the season when they defeated No. 12 Our Lady of the Lakes University 59-57 Wednesday afternoon in Chandler, Ariz. The Bulldogs started the game on fire shooting 40 percent from the floor and making eight 3-point shots. The Bulldogs held an 11 point lead at the break and looked to be in control of the game. However, the Bulldogs didn't make a field-goal for the last 11:25 of the game and hung on to defeat the Saints to earn a huge non-conference victory. Brianna King's two foul shots midway through the fourth quarter were the only points the Bulldogs could muster, but they proved to be the deciding points. Despite turning the ball over an uncharacteristically high amount of times the Saints were unable to capitalize on the Bulldog miscues and didn't take advantage of the second chance opportunities late, as the Saints got four offensive rebounds in the final minute but couldn't tie the game.
