Bulldogs beat Skylights, Sweep Season Series

Story of the Night
The Bulldogs, riding a seven game win streak, welcomed the Skylights of MSU-Northern to the Straugh Gymnasium and came away with  the 62-57 victory. The Bulldogs came out in what seemed to be a funk, and would trail the Skylights by three, 33-30 at the half. They would regain the lead 41-40 halfway through the third quarter, and would not relinquish it. Holding onto a slim three point advantage entering the final frame. This game would come down to the wire, but late free throws by Britt Cooper and Savanna Bignell sealed the win for the Bulldogs. 

Stars of the Game
The Bulldogs were led by the duo of Brianna King and Cierra Lamey. Together the contributed 38 points, and 5 steals.
Brianna King: 24 points, 3 steals.
Cierra Lamey: 14 points, 8 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Stat of the Game
The Bulldogs shot a blistering 80 percent from the charity stripe. All of which came in the second half.

The Bulldogs So Far
The Lady Bulldogs are on an 8-game win streak, improving 19-6 overall and 9-4 in conference play.

Up Next
The Bulldogs host the 19th ranked University of Providence Argos on Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. The game will be the annual Pink Zone game.
