Bulldogs Face Tough Test on the Road

Women's Basketball faces No. 17 RMC and No. 8 Carroll

The third ranked University of Montana Western Bulldogs women's basketball team will face a tough road test when they travel to No. 17 Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Mont. on Jan. 24 and No. 8 Carroll College in Helena, Mont. on Jan. 26. The Bulldogs will face their fifth and sixth nationally ranked opponents in the last eight games. This weekend marks the second time the teams have face each other, with the Bulldogs defeating both teams at home two weeks ago. 

The Bulldogs So Far
  • The Bulldogs are 16-1 overall and 7-1 in Frontier Conference play. 
  • The Bulldogs are ranked third in the nation. It ties the highest they have ever been ranked, with the last time being Feb. 2002 
  • The Bulldogs swept their four game home stand, defeating three ranked teams in the process.
  • The Bulldogs are leading the nation holding opponents to 48.4 points a game. 
  • Brianna King scored 19 and a conference-high 37 points and was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week. She won the award for the fifth straight week and sixth time this season.
