LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - YELLOWSTONE CHRISTIAN: The Bulldogs meet Yellowstone Christian College was founded in Billings, Mont. in 1974. They established athletics in 2014 and compete against teams from the NAIA D-I, NAIA D-II, NJCAA, and Montana Tribal College Athletic Association. The Lady Centurions won their first ever NCCAA tournament game in 2019. Coach Rogers was named NCCAA D1 West Region coach of the year as his Lady Centurions finished in the Top 10 National Rankings in the NCCAA D1. They averaged 72.8 PPG, and allowing only 61PPG. They were ranked in the top 3 in 3PT field goal percentage, and 3PT FG made per game. So far in 2019-20 the Centurions are led by Hanna Hayes 13.3 points and 4.7 rebounds a game. Gabby Worley is averaging 2.5 assists and 3.0 steals a game.
LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - NORTHWEST NAZARENE: The Nighthawks will open their season with an exhibition game against Montana Western (the game is a counting game for UMW). A season ago NNU finished 29-3 and lost in the second round of the NCAA DII tournament. They return GNAC preseason all-conference selections Avery Albrecht and Marina Valles. Albrecht averaged 13.7 points and 3.5 rebounds a game while shooting 91.6 percent from the free-throw line. Valles averaged 10.1 points and 3.9 assists a game.Â
