Bulldogs Advance With 60-55 Win Over The Master's

Cooper's 14 leads Bulldogs into semi-finals

Location: Rimrock Auto Arena at Metra Park - Billings, Mont. 

Paige Holmes hit a 3-pointer from the right wing with 1:03 seconds left to give the Bulldogs the lead after trailing by as many as 12 points. Shannon Worster hit a driving layup with 22 seconds remaining to give the Bulldogs the lead for good. After the Bulldogs forced a turnover Holmes then iced the game with a pair of free throws in the final seconds to send the Bulldogs into the semi-finals for the second straight season.

Britt Cooper scored 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists. shannon insert
Brianna King scored 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals. 
Cierra Lamey scored 10 points and pulled down eight rebounds.
Tori Anderson scored 10 points, three assists, and two assists.
Stephanie Soares scored 14 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists for the Mustangs
Anika Neuman scored a game-high 16 points for the Master's.
 

Coach Woolley's Thoughts
"Unbelievable effort from our team tonight. Shannon, Cooper, and Lamey played great in the fourth (quarter). Coming back from double digits against that team says a lot about their belief and toughness. Couldn't be more proud."

Inside the Box Score

  • The Bulldogs shot 39.7 percent from the floor, out rebounded the Mustangs 33-30, and were plus eight in the paint. 
  • The Bulldogs used an 11-2 run over the final 2:32 of the fourth to pull out the victory.

The Bulldogs will play Freed-Hardeman (Tenn.) in the semi-finals on Monday, March 18 at 6 p.m.
Last year Freed-Hardeman ended the Bulldogs season in the semi-finals.
