King's 37 leads Bulldogs to First National Title

The Montana Western Bulldogs won the programs first national title with a 75-59 victory over Oklahoma City Tuesday night.
The game was close early on with the teams trading buckets early in the first quarter. Six made three-pointers by UMW and 19 first half points by Bri King created separation as and the Bulldogs never looked back. Leading by 18 at the intermission the Bulldogs cruised  in the second half to clinch  the championship.

Individual Leaders
  • Brianna King scored a game-high 37 points. She added three rebounds, three assists, and three steals. 
  • Tori Anderson scored 14 points, two assists, and two steals. 
  • Britt Cooper scored nine points and seven rebounds. 
  • Mallory Lockhart scored 11 points for the Stars. 


Inside the Box Score

  • The Bulldogs shot a blistering 58.1 percent from the floor in the first half to open up an 18 point lead. 
  • Montana Western won the battle of the glass, out rebounding the Stars 35-27, while dishing out 14 assists.
