Austin, Texas - The University of Montana Western's Mindy Kaufman has been selected to the 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America NAIA Track & Field/ Cross Country First Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSDIA). 

Kaufman is one of 12 student-athletes selected to the women's first-team. She is a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and is the first student from Montana Western to be named to the Academic All-America Team. 

This past season she became the first Bulldog to earn All-American status in both cross country and in outdoor track and field in the same season.  She finished 25th in the nation with a school record 18:00 at the NAIA Cross Country National Championship. She finished 3rd in the nation in the 5000 meters with a time of 17:34, also a school record. 

Kaufman graduated from Montana Western this past May with a perfect 4.0 GPA. She was also awarded the Zella K. Flores Cup which is given annually to the female senior ranked first in her graduating class.
