Prante Carries Bulldogs to Big Win Over Rocky

Kylar Prante runs for career high 187 yards and two scores in 38-7 victory

The Montana Western Bulldogs rolled over 24th ranked Rocky Mountain College 38-7 in Billings Saturday afternoon. Running back Kylar Prante's first-career 100-yard game helped propel the Bulldogs to the win. His 187 yards and two scores helped give the Bulldogs a 24-7 lead. Then the defense took over, forcing five turnovers with Joe Caicedo returning two fumbles for touchdowns. 

Individual Leaders

Jon Jund was 15-31 for 160 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions. 
Kylar Prante rushed for a career-high 187 yards on 29 carries and two touchdowns. 
Nate Simkins caught six passes for 62 yards and a score. 
Joe Caicedo had 10 total tackles, assisted on a tackle for loss, and two fumble recoveries returned for touchdowns. 
Jason Ferris led the defense with 16 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, abd forced fumble. 
Lucas Overton had 13 catches for 122 yards for Rocky.

  • The Bulldog defense held RMC under 300 yards offense, forced five turnovers (three interceptions and two fumbles), 12 tackles for loss, three sacks, a blocked field goal, scored twice, and held RMC to just 2-17 on 3rd down. 
  • There were four missed kicks today (The Bulldogs Kharchenko missed from 51 and 40 and Rocky's Wyatt Brusvan missed from 25 and had a 22 yard attempt blocked)

The Bulldogs are back home next Saturday Sept. 28 for Homecoming when the host Eastern Oregon at Vigilante Field. Kick-off is set for 1 p.m.
