Women's Basketball Game Notes - Week 14

Bulldogs host Skylights, travel to Univ. of Providence

COMING UP: The Bulldogs will host #18 Montana State University-Northern on Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. and will hit the road to face (RV) the University of Providence in Great Falls on Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m.

LISTEN: Both games can be heard on KDBM AM 1490 in Dillon or worldwide online. Justin Fox and Sage Fadness will be on the call providing the play-by-play for all home games this season.

LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - MSU-NORTHERN: The Skylights boast one of the best defenses in the country. They are holding opponents to just 32.8 percent shooting (2nd in the nation), 23.6 percent from 3-point range (1st in the nation) and 52 points a game (3rd in the nation). Hailey Nicholson is 8th in the country in blocks (44) and blocks per game (2.1). She is also leading the team in rebounds (7.9), assists (2.8) and steals per game (1.3). Peyton Kher is leading the team with 10.5 points a game she is shooting 44.1 percent from the floor and is averaging 3.5 rebounds a game. This is the Skylights only trip to Dillon this year, Northern beat the Bulldogs 58-51 back in December in Havre when they held UMW to just 2-18 from beyond the arc. 

LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - UNIVERSITY OF PROVIDENCE: The Argos can be potent from downtown, they are third in the country in total 3-pointers made (207), and 3-point field goals made per game (9.4). Emilee Maldonado is ninth in the country in total assists (107) and 15th in assists per game (4.9). Parker Esary is leading the team with 14.8 points a game and Bailey Cartwright is leading the Argos with 9.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks a game.
