Brynley Fitzgerald hit a driving layup with three seconds remaining to give the Bulldogs the win, holding off a late Rocky rally. Montana Western started the third quarter on a 17-2 run to blow open the game. However, Rocky would not go away quietly. Rallying behind a potent 3-point attack the Battlin' Bears clawed back into the game taking a 70-66 lead with 30 seconds remaining. Free throws were the key in the final seconds as the Bulldogs went 4-4 while RMC only connected on 1-4, setting up Fitzgerald's heroics.

• Brynley Fitzgerald finished with 14 points, eight rebounds and two assists.
