DILLON, Mont. - University of Montana Western head women's basketball coach
Lindsay Woolley has announced the signing of Sweet Grass County High School's Emily Cooley to an NAIA National Letter of Intent for the 2022-23 season.
Cooley is a 5-10 power forward from Big Timber, Mont. As a junior, she averaged 12.6 points and 10 rebounds per game leading the Herders to the 2020-21 Class B State Championship. She is a two-time all-state and all-conference selection. She also won state championship in the high jump and 4x100meter relay.
"We couldn't be more excited to add Emily to our program," Woolley said. "She is a perfect fit for us as she is a hard-nosed competitor with a tremendous ceiling as a basketball player. Bulldog fans are going to love watching her compete."
Cooley plans on majoring in biology at Montana Western.
