Bulldogs Season Ends with 97-62 Loss to Westmont

The Bulldogs season came to a close Saturday afternoon in Lewiston, Idaho. The Bulldogs fell to fourth ranked Westmont College 97-62 in the NAIA Opening Round Championship. Montana Western didn't have an answer for the potent perimeter shooting of the Warriors, as Westmont set a NAIA Tournament record with 21 made 3-point field goals. The Warriors dominated the glass, out rebounding the Bulldogs 45-29 and pulled down 24 offensive boards, scoring 25 second chance points. 

Top Performers
  • Mesa King led the Bulldogs with 16 points, two rebounds, two assists and a block. 
  • Brynley Fitzgerald scored 14 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal.
  • Shainy Mack scored 13 points and two steals. 
  • Lilly Gopher scored 10 points, four rebounds and two assists.
  • Iyree Jarrett scored 29 points on 10-19 shooting and seven made 3-point field goals. She added eight assists, three rebounds and three steals.
  • Lauren Tsuneishi scored 26 points on eight made 3-point shots. She added five rebounds and two assists for the Warriors.
