KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the Daktronics NAIA Scholar-Athletes and NAIA Scholar Teams today, 30 Montana Western student-athletes and eight team received the honor..


Student-athletes that are eligible to become Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes must have at least a 3.5 grade point average as defined by the institution, be on the institution's eligibility certificate for that sport, have junior academic status after the completion of the most recent semester (Spring 2020), and have attended the current institution for at least one year as a transfer or two years as a non-transfer. Teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Bulldog Women's Basketball had a team GPA of 3.78 which was second of all women's basketball teams in the NAIA. Women's Cross Country (3.42), Women's Outdoor Track (3.40), Volleyball (3.37), Men's Outdoor Track (3.26), Men's Basketball (3.17), Men's Cross Country (3.12), and Football (3.10) all received recognition.
