HELENA, Mont.—The Montana Western Bulldogs (14-10, 4-8) fell to the No. 7 Carroll College Saints (21-5, 9-3), 57-74.
The Bulldogs started off the game with a slow first quarter, with only 10 points on the board compared to the Saints' 21. In the second, Montana Western put 21 points on the board on 70 percent shooting from the field (7-10) and 50 percent from the arc (3-6). The Saints matched 18 of the Bulldogs' 21 points in the second and led Montana Western 39-31 at the half.
The Bulldogs brought the score within two possessions in the third, trailing the Saints 40-45, but Carroll went on an 8-1 run in the latter half of the quarter. Carroll held the Bulldogs to 11 points in the fourth, with six of those points coming from the foul line.

- The Bulldogs only grabbed 13 total rebounds (10 defensive, three offensive); Carroll had 30 (17 defensive, 13 offensive).
- Montana Western's Brynley Fitzgerald tallied 16 points, 4 rebounds, and four steals.
