UMW Football Falls to #20 College of Idaho 28-21 Saturday Afternoon

CALDWELL, Idaho – The #15 Montana Western football team (4-3, 1-2 FC West) was clipped by #20 College of Idaho (5-1, 2-0 FC West) 28-21 Saturday.
 
"Although taking another loss is disappointing, this team has fought hard and gave great effort," Head Coach Ryan Nourse said.
 
Western tallied 244 total yards (183 passing, 61 rushing) and tallied 16 first downs in the contest.

Michael Palandri tallied 183 yards and two total touchdowns (one passing, one rushing). He was sacked three times and intercepted twice by the Yotes defense.
 
Aidan Lammers rushed for a team-best 51 yards and one touchdown while Jakob Humphrey added 20 yards.
 
Eli Nourse caught for a game-high 71 yards. Seth Shook registered 38 yards and one TD catch.
                                                                                                                           
Defensively, Jace Fitzgerald led the game with 16 total tackles while Tyler Walker added 11. Reece Stanish paced the team with four solo efforts.
 
Manuel Variz IV recorded a game-best 1.5 sacks. Conor Dunlea snagged an interception for the third straight game and returned it for 19 yards.

LOOKING AHEAD 
The Bulldogs are on the road again next week when they take on Simpson in Redding. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. MT.
