LEWISTON, Idaho — Montana Western couldn't recover from a slow first half in a 71–58 loss to Eastern Oregon on Saturday afternoon.
Maile Wilcox led the Bulldogs (2–2) with 15 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 11 in the fourth quarter as Western mounted a late surge. Keke Davis added 11 points, six rebounds and three assists while shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field
Isabella Lund and Brooke Deyak each scored seven, and Ava Bellach finished with six points, three rebounds and a block. The Bulldogs shot 44.4% from the field and 50% from 3-point range, outscoring the Mountaineers 38–33 after halftime.
Montana Western will open Frontier Conference play at Valley City on Nov. 21.
