UMW fell to 7-10 on the year after falling at Bellevue (58-57) and #7 Dakota State (81-62) last week
Against the Bruins, Western shot 29.5 percent (18-61) from the floor, 39.3 percent (11-28) from three, and 71.4 percent (10-14) from the foul line. The team registered 29 rebounds, 15 assists, 17 steals, and two blocks in the game.
Tayva Phillips led the team in both points (11) and steals (seven).
Kyle Pancost grabbed a team-best eight rebounds.
Isabella Lund handed out game-high five assists while Pancost and
Brooke Deyak both posted a block.
Against the Trojans, the Bulldogs shot 36.5 percent (23-63) from the field, 20.0 percent (4-20) from distance, and 80.0 percent (12-15) from the stripe. They earned 36 rebounds, 18 assists, 11 steals, and two blocks. Lund paced the team with 18 points, followed by
Keke Davis with 10. Pancost and
Gio Horner each registered six rebounds. Lund posted a game-best seven assists. Phillips shared the game-high with three steals. Pancost and
Ava Bellach swatted a block each.
