IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…
UMW split last weekend, falling against #6 Dakota State (81-59), before defeating Bellevue (77-57).
Against the Trojans, Western shot 33.8 percent (22-65) from the floor, 18.8 percent (3-16) from downtown, and 75.0 percent (12-16) from the foul line. The team earned 45 rebounds, 12 assists, 10 steals, and four blocks.
Bailee Sayler led the team with 15 points, followed by
Isabella Lund with 12.
Keke Davis grabbed a team-high 10 boards while Lund dished out a team-best three assists. Sayler, Davis, and
Tayva Phillips each posted two steals.
Kyle Pancost swatted a game-high two blocks.
Against the Bruins, the Bulldogs shot 47.5 percent (29-61) from the field, 25.0 percent (6-24) from three, and 68.4 percent (13-19) from the stripe. They tallied 40 rebounds, 16 assists, seven steals, and four blocks. Sayler once again led the team with 25 points, with Phillips (16), Lund (12), and Davis (11) also reaching double figures. Davis and Pancost shared the team-lead in rebounds with nine apiece.
Isabella Lund handed out a game-high eight assists while
Ava Bellach led in steals (two). Pancost registered a game-high three blocks.
THE PACK PERSPECTIVE
The Bulldogs are averaging 65.6 points, 37.1 rebounds, and 13.7 assists. They are shooting 40.0 percent from the floor, 32.7 percent from three, and 69.7 percent from the foul line. They are also posting 8.9 steals and 3.0 blocks per game.
Two Bulldogs are putting up double figures in scoring;
