Kaden LaPlaunt Named Frontier Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week

HELENA, Mont. – Montana Western football's Kaden LaPlaunt earned Erck Hotels / Frontier Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

The award marks the first conference weekly player of the week award of LaPlaunt's career and makes him the second Bulldog to receive an FC weekly award this season.

LaPlaunt was responsible for five touchdowns and 422 yards of total offense in the Bulldogs 41-27 win at Dickinson State last weekend.

The sophomore QB went 22 of 30 (73.3 completion percentage) for 384 yards and four passing touchdowns. He averaged 12.8 yards per completion.

The Granite Falls, Wash., native also rushed six times for 38 yards and one more score.

Currently, LaPlaunt ranks second in the NAIA in passing yards per game (318.3), third in passing touchdowns (14), and fifth in total passing yards (1,273).

The Bulldogs return to Dillon Saturday when they play host to Southern Oregon. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. MT.
