Biography

BULLDOG CAREER:
2020-21 (Rodeo: Senior): finished 41st at the CNFR in the team roping (18.2, NS, NS - 18.2) • finished 3rd in the Big Sky Region in the team roping, 9th in the all-around and tie-down roping and 15th in the steer wrestling • 6th in the tie-down at the second Northwest College Rodeo • 3rd in the tie-down roping and 5th in the steer wrestling at the MSU-Northern Rodeo • 6th in the tie-down and 8th in the team roping at the first MSU Rodeo • 2nd in the team roping at the second MSU Rodeo • 5th in the team roping at the MCC Rodeo • 3rd in the team roping and 10th in the steer wrestling at the Providence Rodeo • 2nd in the team roping, 3rd in the all-around and tie-down roping at the Montana Rodeo.

2019-20 (Rodeo: Junior):

2018-19 (Basketball: R-Freshman) 
Played in 15 games • averaged 5.3 minutes and 2.5 points a game • scored 38 points while shooting 48.4 percent from the floor • 29 rebounds four steals, and three assists • scored a season-high nine points twice against Salish Kootenai and Providence.
(Rodeo: Sophomore) Took home the buckle in the tie-down roping at MSU #2 with a time of 9.9 seconds • took fourth in the tie-down roping, and fifth in the all-around at the Miles Community College Rodeo • took eighth in the team roping at the Montana Rodeo • finished 11th in the region in the tie-down roping.

2017-18 (Basketball: Redshirt) 
(Rodeo: Freshman) Took home the buckle in the tie-down roping at the Montana Rodeo with a time of 23.1 on two • finished third in the team roping at MSU rodeo #1 • Eighth in the tie-down roping at the Big Sky Regional Finals rodeo with a time of 12.7 on two.

BEFORE UMW:
2017 graduate of Manhattan Christian High School • a three-year started at Manhattan Christian lead the Eagles to a second place finish in the Class state tournament • he led Christian in scoring his senior season with 14.6 points and 9.5 rebounds • all-state selection  • also competed in rodeo • finished second in the state standings in the team roping in 2016, and qualified for the National High School Finals • finished second in the team roping at the state high school rodeo as a junior • made the Montana National Team as an eighth grader.

PERSONAL: Born James Ramirez from Big Sky, Mont. • son of Edward Ramirez • brother to teammate Luke Ramirez • majoring in biology.
