Shawn Chaffin begins his first year as a student assistant for the Lady Bulldogs. He is a 1991 graduate of Florence High School where he earned the Don Marsh sportsmanship award and was named Co-MVP of the football team, he also earned academic All-state honors. He previously coached girls basketball at Florence high and junior high helping guide his team to the class B state championship in 1998 in the same year he was named assistant coach of the year by Montana coaches association. He was also selected to coach the five valleys All-Star classic in 1999 and 2000. He is the head coach of the women’s JV basketball program at Western.
