Claire Gay joined the Bulldog Athletics Staff in August 2025. She serves as Assistant Athletic Director in charge of Athletic Communications. She is the primary media contact and sports information director for all Bulldog athletics teams.Â
Prior to coming to Western, Gay was an athletic strategic communications assistant at NCAA DI member UTEP. She joined the UTEP staff ahead of the 2022-23 school year and was the primary media contact for women's basketball, soccer, and women's golf.
She earned a Master's degree in leadership studies from UTEP in May 2025.Â
The El Paso, Texas, native graduated from Coronado HS in 2016 before playing collegiate soccer at Trinidad State College and Wayne State College. She earned an undergraduate degree from WSC in biology before earning a master's degree in Sports Management while playing third division professional soccer in Italy.
