Story Links

Prescott, Ariz. - The Bulldogs came out hot against Embry- Riddle jumping out to an 25-10 lead after the first quarter, and maintained that lead through the first half taking a 36-20 lead into the break. The Eagles would respond in the third quarter trimming the Bulldog lead to just seven points before the Bulldogs pulled away and coasted to a 16 point victory. Senior Kaye Bignell (Helena, Mont.) led all scorers with 16 points, shooting 7-11 from the field and adding three rebounds and a steal. Sophomore Cierra Lamey added 14 points and three steals, and senior Aniese Palmore (Santa Monica, Calif) had 10 points and five rebounds.

Phoenix, Ariz.  The Bulldogs used another fast start to build a 17 point lead over the Firestorm of Arizona Christian College, and looked like they were going to run away with game. But the Firestorm defense stepped up and forced 24 Bulldog turnovers and started chipping away at the lead eventually taking a two point lead themselves late in the fourth quarter. Clutch shooting and timely free throws allowed the Bulldog to walk away with a hard fought 65-59 victory. Kaye Bignell had a double double and once again led all Western scorers with 16 points, 11 rebounds four assists and two steals. Palmore added 14 points and grabbed six rebounds. Sophomore Britt Cooper (Harrison, Mont.) added 11 points and seven rebounds as well as two blocks.

The Bulldogs improve to 7-0 and will have next week off before heading to Caldwell, Idaho to play Eastern Oregon and the College of Idaho in the Best Western Caldwell Inn and Suites Lady Yote Classic on Nov. 25 and 26 at 1 P.M. and 5 P.M.
