Another fast start helped the Bulldogs (10-0, 1-0) to an easy victory over the Bears of Rocky Mountain College (7-4, 0-2). Three Kaye Bignell (Helena, Mont.) baskets helped give the Bulldogs a 9-0 lead just two minutes into the game and they never looked back, leading 19-8 after the first quarter and 35-26 at halftime. Despite going 3 for 20 from beyond the arc the Bulldogs shot 42 percent from the field and pulled down and impressive 54 rebounds.
Bignell led all scorers with 21 points on 10-14 shooting, she also added three rebounds, two steals and an assist continuing her great start to her senior season.
Sophomore Britt Cooper (Harrison, Mont.) had an impressive game with 18 points on 8-12 shooting and pulling down 19 rebounds, adding two blocks and a steal as well.
Senior Taylor Howlett (Spokane Wash.) chipped in 10 points, four assists and five steals.
The Bulldogs will face a tough test when they travel to Helena on Dec. 7 to take on the 25th ranked Saints of Carroll College. The game is set to tip off at 5:30 P.M.
