The teams were locked in a back and forth affair for most of the first three quarters of a game that saw 15 lead changes. The Bulldogs were able to take a two point lead into halftime, before building a 12 point lead early in the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs used a strong second half to come away with a 10 point victory over the Orediggers.
The Orediggers could not stop Kaye Bignell (Avon, Mont) who slashed the Orediggers for 23 points and seven rebounds.
Aniese Palmore (Santa Monica, Calif.) scored 16 points and pulled down eight rebounds. Freshman Savanna Bignell (Avon, Mont.) scored a career high 15 points, shooting 4-4 from the field and 2-2 from beyond the arc, she also went 5-6 from the charity stripe.
The Bulldogs travel to Lewiston, Idaho to take on the number two team in the nation in Lewis-Clark State College on Jan. 28 tip-off is set for 6:30 P.M.
