Montana Tech won the opening tip, and made the first shot of the game. From there the Bulldogs took over, and held a double digit lead the rest of the game that Tech never really challenged.
The Bulldogs flexed their muscles totaling 16 steals and shooting 46 percent from the field, including 45 percent from beyond the arc.
Shyke Smalls led the way with 23 points, 17 of which came in the first half. He added three rebounds, three assists and four steals. Zaccheus Darko-Kelly added 13 points, and Kooper Kidgell had 12 points. Marcus Payne pulled down nine rebounds and had a block.Â
The Bulldogs will finish the weekend at home on Jan. 7 against Lewis and Clark State College. Tip-off is set for 5:30 P.M.

 Three member of the junior varsity team made their varsity debuts tonight. Sage Fadness, Casey Ryter, and Derek Walker each saw about a minute and a half of playing time.
