Story of the Day
The Montana Western Bulldogs, hosted the no. 14 Orediggers of Montana Tech and pushed them to a fifth set, eventually succumbing to the conference leader (25-21, 8-25, 19-25, 25-22, 4-15).
The Bulldogs won the first set 25-21, before the Orediggers came out firing, holding the Bulldogs to just eight points, to win the set convincingly. Sets three and four were close, before Tech closed out the fifth in dominating fashion.

 The last time the Bulldogs played Montana Tech, the Orediggers, hit over 0.400 as a team. This time the Bulldogs held them to 0.177 hitting percentage, which is well below their season average of 0.223.
Coach Lewis' Thoughts
"We played very well at times and not so well at other times. There are some things we were happy with, others we were disappointed with, but overall we have to learn and move on to (Lewis Clark State) this Saturday."
The Bulldogs So Far
The Bulldogs dropped to 1-8 in the conference, and 9-13 overall. Â The Orediggers improved to 8-1 in conference play and 18-7 overall.
Up Next
The Bulldogs will play their home finale on Oct. 28 at 2 p.m. against the Warriors of Lewis Clark State College. There will be a short ceremony before the game to honor the three seniors on the team. Â
