Story of the Day
The Montana Western Bulldog volleyball team continued to struggle Friday night as the fell in straight sets to the Carroll College Fighting Saints (17-25, 18-25, 21-25). The Bulldogs had fewer errors than the previous game, but they still proved costly, limiting the Bulldog offense, and keeping them from sustaining any momentum.Â

Kyra Palmer led the team with 10 kill and .185 hitting percentage.
Stat of the Game
0.080, was the team hitting percentage, as once again the team had many attacking errors.
Coach Lewis' Thoughts
"We had to overcome a lot during this game due to some injuries. The girls responded very well and played with a fire the whole game. I was very proud of their effort and fight."
The Bulldogs So Far
The Bulldogs dropped to 1-6 in conference play and 9-12 overall, while the Saints improved to 4-3 in the conference and 10-12 overall.
Up Next
The Bulldogs are off next week and will resume play on Oct. 19 against the University of Providence in Great Falls, Mont. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
