Story of the Day
The Montana Western Bulldogs hosted the Rocky Mountain College Battlin' Bears on senior day at Vigilante Stadium and fell 48-42 in overtime. The Bulldogs having to settle for field goals in the redzone, and missing two extra points, trailed Rocky 28-18 at half. The Bulldogs came out strong in the third quarter tying things up at 28 head into the final frame. The Bulldog defense had no answer for

Rocky quarterback Drew Krof and receiver Lucas Overton. Krof threw for 475 yards and five touchdowns. Overton had 15 catches for 222 yards and two scores. The bears built a 14 point lead with just a few minutes remaining. But the Bulldogs were able to battle back and score on a
Hunter Thomsen 52 yard touchdown catch, in which he bowled over the Rocky defender.
Bennett Gibson, then ran in the tying score from two yards out to send the game into overtime. After a Gibson interception on third down, the Bears were able to break the Bulldog defense for the game winning 15 yard touchdown run.
Stars of the Game
Bennett Gibson threw for a career high 469 yards and two touchdowns, he also ran for two scores. He threw for 3,185 yards on the season , tossed 20 touchdowns, and ran for 10 more.
Christian Hanser had 16 tackles, one tackle for loss, and a sack.
George Sherwood had five catches for a career high 165 yards.

The Bulldogs gave up 601 yards of offense, despite intercepting Rocky's quarterback three times.
