Dillon, Mont.- The No. 13 Montana Western Bulldogs (22-6, 12-4) had a great night shooting, beating Montana Tech (7-21, 1-16) 78-66 at the Straugh Gymnasium Saturday night.
Dom Robinson (Tacoma, Wash.) hit his first five shots, four from downtown, and finished 7-11 from the field for 21 points to lead the Bulldogs to a victory and sweep of Montana Tech.
The Bulldogs built an early lead and looked to make quick work of the Orediggers. But Tech wasn't going to roll over, as they shot 49 percent for the field, and made the Bulldogs work for the win.
Kooper Kidgell (Billings, Mont.) and
Shyke Smalls (Great Falls, Mont.) 14 and 13 points respectively helped round out the Bulldog scoring attack, as the Bulldogs as a team shot 54 percent from the field.
Zaccheus Darko-Kelly was productive off the bench, scoring 13 points, four rebounds, two assists and a block.
The Bulldogs will travel to Havre, Mont. on Feb. 24 to take on the MSU-Northern Lights. Tip-off is set for 8:00 P.M.
