Dillon, Mont. – The No.13 Montana Western Bulldogs (19-4, 9-2) bounced back from a disappointing loss a week ago and steam rolled the Great Falls Argos (10-12, 2-9) 88-62 Thursday night at Straugh Gymnasium.
The Bulldogs and the Agros traded buckets the first couple of possessions, before the Bulldogs built a modest lead. The Argos kept it within striking distance for most of the first half. The Bulldogs would surge ahead just before the break taking a 13 point lead 40-27.
In the opening minutes of the second half the bulldogs put the game away building a 20 plus point lead, and were in cruise control for the rest of the game.
The Bulldogs as a team shot 52 percent from the field, led by
Dom Robinson (Tacoma, Wash.) who scored a game high 22 points and dished out four assists.
Chase Haack (Spokane, Wash) scored 12 points and grabbed five rebounds.
Shyke Smalls (Great Falls, Mont.) and
Marcus Payne (Livingston, Mont.) each scored 11.
The Bulldogs face the Lights of MSU-Northern Saturday Feb. 4 at the Straugh. Tip-off is set for 7:30 P.M.
