Story of the Night
The Montana Western Bulldogs hosted the 10th ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints, and came away with a convincing 59-43 victory. The Bulldog defense came to play, as they forced turnovers on the Saints first three possessions and only allowed 2 points in their first 10 possessions.  The score was 12-5 after the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs would take a 27-9 lead into halftime. The Bulldogs held strong throughout the third quarter. The Bulldogs went into the fourth quarter nursing a 43-27 lead. The quarter would start out with a bang with Paige Holmes knocking down a deep three on the first possession. The Fighting Saints turned up the pressure trying to fight their way back into this game, but the Bulldogs would withstand the punches to hold on to the win.Â
Stars of the Game
Brianna King led the Bulldogs with 22 points, shooting 6-17 from the field and 9-11 from the charity stripe. She added 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Britt Cooper fought her way into a double-double tonight with 11 points 10 rebounds.
Paige Holmes found her way into double digits tonight shooting 50 percent from the field for 10 points. She also added 4 steals, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

"I'm Very proud of this team. They have showed a lot of character these last two weeks,  Hopefully they can carry the momentum forward and continue to improve."

The Bulldogs had an outstanding 23 points off turnovers, as well as having 18 second chance points.
The Bulldogs So Far
The Lady Bulldogs improve to 13-6 overall, and 3-4 in conference play. The Fighting Saints will drop to 13-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play.
