The Bulldogs are headed north this weekend to taken on The University of Providence, and Montana State University Northern.
This weekend the Bulldogs will be straying from the typical Thursday, Saturday schedule, and instead will play on back-to-back nights. They will play Friday Jan. 26 at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. in Great Falls, Mont. Then the Bulldogs will tip-off at 6:00 and 8:00 p.m.on Saturday Jan. 27 in Havre, Mont.
The Lady Bulldogs will play no. 14 University of Providence on Friday. The last time these two teams met, Providence won handily 53-39. The Bulldogs shot a mere 24.6 percent from the floor and trailed the duration of the game. Providence was led by Parker Esary with 15 points in 28 minutes. While Stephanie McDonagh added 12 points, and 4 steals.
Then they face unranked Montana State Northern on the Hi-Line. The Bulldogs were able to pull away late to win convincingly 78-58 in their last meeting with the Skylights. The Bulldogs will look to shut down Peyton Filius who had 19 points in their last meeting.
Bulldog guard Brianna King, received some national recognition this last week. After earning her third conference player of the week she was named National Player of the Week (Full Story) She leads the Bulldogs with 17.6 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 steals a game.
The Men will also face off against the unranked University of Providence on Friday night. In the last match up between the two teams, the Bulldogs would walk away with a 100-87 win. The Bulldogs were led by Dom Robinson who had 29 on the game. Kooper Kidgell would not let Robinson have all the fun as he did not miss a shot all game going 10 for 10, for 27 points.
The Bulldogs will face off against the Lights on Saturday night in Havre, Mont. In the last meeting The Bulldogs held on late to win 79-77. Coach Keller stated "It was a great team win, we were cold from three, until Dom hit three in the second half. Troy and Warren gave us a huge lift."
Four Bulldogs are averaging double figures in scoring this season, led by Dom Robinson (18.9), Brandon Jones (15.4), Zaccheus Darko-Kelly (14.1), and Kooper Kidgell (12.8)
