This weekend is a spilt trip for the Bulldogs, Thursday the Bulldogs will take the short drive up I-15 to Butte, Mont. to face off against the Orediggers of Montana Tech. The women will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. with the men following at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday the Bulldogs will be at host Lewis-Clark State College. Game times are 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
This is the second of three meetings between Lady Bulldogs and Montana Tech. The first meeting back in November resulted in a Bulldog 64-56 victory. The Bulldogs were led by standout Brianna King who had 24 points, and 4 steals. Tech was led by Monica Landdeck who had 11 points and 4 steals.
Saturday the Bulldogs will open a four-game home stand when the host Lewis-Clark State College. The last time the Bulldogs and LC State met, the Warriors were ranked second in the nation. The game was hard fought with LC edging the Bulldogs 74-69. The Bulldogs will look to continue their stingy defense into the weekend.
The Bulldogs moved up to 24th in latest coach poll, and Brianna King was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week for fourth time this season.
The Bulldogs came away with an 84-66 victory over Tech in their last meeting in November. The Bulldogs were lead in this game by Marcus Payne who had a double-double with 23 points, and 10 rebounds. The Orediggers had 52 points off the bench. Dom Robinson has led the Bulldogs in scoring all season averaging 18.5 points a game.
The Bulldogs jumped up the 8th in nation in the latest coach's poll. Zaccheus Darko-Kelly was named Frontier Conference Player of the Week.
