Coach Lewis' Thoughts
"It's been a fun season. I've known for a while that this was going to be it for me and I was hoping it would be the most enjoyable year I've had here and it certainly was. This year was not without its challenges, but it's been a fun four months with the girls."
"I need to give some credit to my team. I know it's not easy for them to have a coach that can't do much physically, but they didn't let that slow them down. Coach Bray also deserves credit for everything she has done in practice, which is just that, everything."
"You know, there is a lot that goes into a competitive season. It's so much more than the 25 or so games you play. You have practice every day, meetings, weight room sessions, travel, team meals, lots of hotel stays, outreach and volunteer duties, and the list goes on. There are plenty of arguments, plenty of fun stories, you laugh, you cry, and, especially in the case of our team, you physically hurt a lot. But looking back at everything, between the wins and losses, time together and time apart, when you reflect back on it, you realize how much you cared about everyone. And when it's all over, that's all that seems to have ever mattered."
The Bulldogs So Far
The Bulldogs finish the season 6-17 and 2-10 in the conference. The Orediggers improve to 17-14 and advance to the semi-finals of the conference tournament.Â
