Bulldogs Win In Lewiston For the First Time Since 2006

Story of the Day
The no.15 Bulldogs accomplished something that hasn't been done in 12 years. Win a basketball game in Lewiston, Idaho. The Bulldogs used a huge fourth quarter to propel them to a 63-48 victory of the Lewis-Clark State College Warriors. The two team battled for three quarters before the Bulldogs opened up and outscored the Warriors by 17 points in the final frame. The Bulldogs had four players score in double figures, including a season-high 13 points by Savanna Bignell off the bench. The Bulldogs connected on 10 shots from beyond the arc to win the season series over the Warriors. 

Stars of the Game
Savanna Bignell and Cierra Lamey each had 13 points.
Brianna King had a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. 
Paige Holmes scored 10 points.
Britt Cooper had a season-high 16 rebounds.

With 16 rebounds, Britt Cooper had nearly half of the teams 34 rebounds. 

Coach Woolley's Thoughts
"It was great to see them start shooting with confidence in the fourth (quarter). Savanna Bignell, Alexa Welch, and Darby Schye gave us a huge lift off the bench. I am really proud of how they bounced back."

The Bulldogs So Far
The Bulldogs improved to 11-5 in the Frontier and 21-7 overall. The Warriors fell to 6-9 in the conference and 15-11 overall.

The Bulldogs will travel to Rocky Mountain College on  Thursday  Feb. 22. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m.
