The Basics

In a battle of two top-ten heavyweights, the fourth ranked Montana Western Bulldogs emerged with a four point victory over the eighth ranked Carroll College Fighting Saints 58-54. The Bulldogs jumped out to a quick double-digit lead, but Saints would not back down without a fight. They battled back to tie the game early in the third quarter. The Bulldogs and Saints went toe-to-toe for the final 15 minutes, with the Bulldogs hitting clutch shots down the stretch to maintain the lead and earn the hard fought win. With the win, the Bulldogs are now tied with the Saints for first in the Conference, with the Bulldogs holding the tie-breaker. 

Turning Point
With the Bulldogs holding an 11 point lead with just over four-minutes remaining in the second-half. The Saints closed on a 11-4 run to cut the lead to four points at the break. 

It Was Over When
Cierra Lamey connected on a free throw with 0.3  seconds left to give the Bulldogs the four-point lead. 

Individual Leaders
Britt Cooper scored a game-high 17 points and pulled down six rebounds. 
Brianna King scored 12 points, five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks.
Shannon Worster scored 10 points and pulled down four rebounds.
Hannah Dean led the Saints with a 12 point 10 rebound double-double.

Inside the Box Score
Bri King was held below 20 points for just the fifth time this season.
