The third-ranked Bulldogs defense came to play in the first half, holding Rocky Mountain to just 13 points in the opening 20 minutes. The Battlin' Bears tried to make a game of it in the second half out scoring the Bulldogs by eight, but the damage was already done and the Bulldogs picked up their fifth straight win 61-51.Â
Turning Point
The Bulldogs held a 20 point lead for most of the second half. Rocky battled back going on a 14-2 run late in the fourth to cut the lead to 8.Â
It Was Over When
Brianna King hit a 3-point shot with 1:30 seconds to stop the Rocky run and push the lead back to 11.Â
Individual Leaders
- Brianna King led all scorers with 25 points. She added two rebounds, a steal, and an assist.
- Britt Cooper recorded a double-double scoring 12 points and pulling down 14 rebounds.Â
- Justyn Juhl and Alecia Chamberlin scored 13 points a piece for the Battlin' Bears.
