The Bulldogs picked up their first conference victory of the season by winning a thrilling five set match over MSU-Northern Saturday night. The teams battled for the most part of four sets trading points. With the fourth set tied at 16 apiece and the Bulldogs down 2-1 they outscored the Skylights 9-4 down the stretch to force the deciding set. Montana Western raced out to an early 7-2 lead in the fifth and didn't look back claiming the set and the match.Â
