No.4 Bulldogs Stumble at Home to No.17 LC State

The No. 4 Bulldogs fell 68-63 in a tough loss to No. 17 Lewis-Clark State College at home on senior night. The Bulldogs jumped out on a early 12 point lead, but only led by six at the half. LC kept the game close and took the lead with six and a half minutes remaining in the game. The Warrior lead got a big as six. tried to come back but Bri King's potential game tying 3-point attempt was halfway down before rattling out with a minute left. LC hit free throws down the stretch to put the game away. 

Individual Leaders
  • Britt Cooper led the Bulldogs with 16 points and eight rebounds. 
  • Cierra Lamey added 14 points, six rebounds, three steals, and two assists. 
  • Brianna King scored 13 points and added a rebound, an assist, and a steal. 
  • Hailey Turner led the Warriors with a game-high 19 points on 7-11 shooting. She added five rebounds and four assists. 
  • Abbie Johnson had a 16 point 10 rebound game for the Warriors.

  • The Warriors went 17 of 22 from the charity stripe, while the Bulldogs only shot 8 of 13. 
Notes
The Bulldogs hold a 1.5 game lead in the conference with two games left to play. The Bulldogs hold tie-breakers over everyone except Providence.

The Bulldogs will close out the regular season on the road next weekend. They will travel to No.23 University of Providence on Feb. 22 and MSU-Northern on Feb. 23.
