The No. 4 Montana Western Bulldogs led wire-to-wire to sweep the season series Saturday night against the MSU-Northern Skylights. Four Bulldogs scored in double-figures led by Brianna King's 16 points. With the win the Bulldogs finished first in the conference, claiming the Frontier Conference title for the first time since 2003.Â
Individual Leaders
Brianna King led all scorers with 16 points. She added three rebounds, two assists, and two steals.Â
Savanna Bignell scored 12 points off the bench. She added four rebounds, and three assists.Â
Cierra Lamey scored 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
Britt Cooper scored 10 points, five rebounds, four assists, and a block.Â
Sydney Hovde recorded a 15 point 11 rebound double-double for the Skylights.Â
Inside the Box Score
- The Bulldogs shot 59.1 percent from the floor and they held the Skylights to just 37 percent from the floor and 20 percent from 3-point range.
- The Bulldogs won the turnover margin (plus three), and were better on the glass, out rebounding Northern by three.Â
Coach Woolley's Thoughts
"I thought our patience and ball movement was excellent tonight. You don't get many good looks against a great defensive team like Northern, and we were able to capitalize on opportunities. We knew it was going to be a grind, I'm really proud of our kids."

- The Bulldogs have now won three straight in Havre, and seven in a row against the Skylights.Â
- The Bulldogs finished last in the conference four years ago, and second just a season ago.Â
