Bulldog Drop Close Game to No.2 Carroll

  • The Bulldogs battled the No.2 team in nation before falling to the hot shooting Saints in the final minutes. 
  • The Bulldogs started strong, quickly building a 13-3 lead. 
  • Kooper Kidgell hit a trey to give the Bulldogs a four point lead at the intermission. 
  • The Bulldogs shot 48 percent in the opening half, and 53.8 percent for the game.
  • Carroll dominated the paint, outscoring the Bulldogs by 18 points. 
  • The Saints started the second half on 10-4 run to take their first lead of the game at the 16:38 mark.
  • The teams traded baskets for the next ten minutes before Carroll built a double-digit lead over the final five minutes. 
  • The Saints shot 77.3 percent from the floor (17-22) in the second half and were a perfect 14 of 14 from the charity stripe.

Inside the Box Score

  • The Bulldogs won the turnover battle, but were minus 13 rebounding the ball.
  • Carter Kearns started for the second straight game and scored in double figures for the third time this season.
