WHITEFISH, Mont., Sept. 23, 2019 — Students-athletes from Montana Western were selected Frontier Conference Football Players of the Week.
Offensive Player of the Week:
Kylar Prante, Montana Western, 5-foot-9, 220 lbs, junior running back from Elma, Wash. In No.20 Montana Western's 38-7 road conference win over No. 24 Rocky Mountain College, Prante rushed for a career best 187 yards and two touchdown on 29 carries. He caught four passes for 12 yards. This is the first time he has won the award.
Also nominated and listed in alphabetical order; Jet Campbell of Montana Tech, Shane Sipes of Carroll College, Lucas Overton of Rocky Mountain College and Marvin Williams Jr. of Tacoma, Wash.
Defensive Player of the Week: Joe Caicedo, Montana Western, 6-foot-1, 220 lbs, junior linebacker from Darby, Mont. In No.20 Montana Western's 38-7 road conference win over No. 24 Rocky Mountain College, Caicedo recorded seven solo tackles, three assisted tackles and .5 tackles for loss (-2). He returned two fumbles for touchdowns (45- yards and 25-yards). This is the second straight week that Caicedo has won the award.

Special Teams Player of the Week: Jason Ferris of Montana Western, 6-foot-3, 220 lbs, senior linebacker from Dillon, Mont. In No.20 Montana Western's 38-7 road conference win over No. 24 Rocky Mountain College, Ferris blocked a field goal attempt. From his linebacker position, he recorded 11 unassisted tackles, five assisted tackles, one sack and four tackles for loss (-9). This is the first time he has won special teams player of the week.
