Men's Basketball Game Notes - Week 11

Bulldogs travel to Carroll, host Rocky Mountain

COMING UP: The Bulldogs travel to Helena, Mont. to face #9 Carroll College on Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. and will return home to face Rocky Mountain College on Jan. 18 at 7 :30 p.m.

LISTEN: Both games can be heard on KDBM AM 1490 in Dillon or worldwide online. Justin Fox and Sage Fadness will be on the call providing the play-by-play for all home games this season. 

LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - CARROLL COLLEGE: The Saints sit atop the Frontier at 5-0. Sophomore Jovan Sljivancanin is dominating the glass for the Saints. He is second in the nation in total rebounds (190) and third in rebounds per game (11.2). Dane Warp's 19.8 and Sljivancanin's 19.1 points per game account for half of Carroll's offensive output. Dennis Flowers III and Shamrock Campbell both average over 10 points a game round out the scoring threat for the Saints. The Saints are holding opponents to just 66.7 points a game and are fourth in the nation in assist/turnover ratio (1.5). 

LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT - ROCKY MOUNTAIN COLLEGE: The Battlin' Bears lost a heartbreaker to league leader Carroll in triple overtime a day ago. They are third in the nation in 3-point field goals made in a game with 11.9 and are connecting at 38.9 percent clip. Clayton Ladine is ninth in the nation in assists per game (5.6), he also is averaging 11.1 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.9 steals a game. Darius Henderson (15.9), Brandon The Boy (12.1), Sam Vining (11.9) and Grant Wallace (11.0) lead the Rocky offense which averages 81.6 points a game.
