The Bulldogs played their first game of the season, holding on for 66-56 win over Yellowstone Christian College despite shooting just 33.8 percent from the floor and 15 percent from 3-point range. Bulldogs didn't let the slow start offensively affect their overall play as they put on a impressive defensive display forcing turnovers and owning the glass. The offense got in a groove late as new comer Jamal Stephenson led all scorers with 17 points. Redshirt freshmen Colter Miller and Michael Haverfield both started and played over 30 minutes in their collegiate debuts. Miller collected 14 rebounds and Haverfield scored 10 points.


Top Performers 

• Jamal Stephenson scored a game-high 17 points and five rebounds. 
• Max Clark scored 12 points six rebounds and two assists. 
• Michael Haverfield scored 10 points, two assists and two steals.
• Colter Miller pulled down 14 rebounds (eight offensive) and scored seven points and three assists. 
• Christian Beeke scored 15 points, five rebounds and four assists for Yellowstone Christian.
• Devonte King recorded a 12 point 10 rebound double-double for the Centurions. 
• Devin Jones scored 10 points, five rebounds and two assists for YCC.

"I thought we played really hard and competed very well. We missed a lot of shots but that is the difference between practice and game times, I have a lot of confidence in our guys."
 
Inside the Box Score

• The Bulldogs out rebounded the Centurions 48-36 including 16 offensive boards that led to 15 second chance points. 
• The Bulldogs forced 19 turnovers and had three blocked shots. 

Up Next
The Bulldogs will head to Pocatello, Idaho for a tilt with Big Sky Conference foe Idaho State on Dec. 5. Tip-off from Reed Gym is set for 7 p.m.
