Bulldogs Fall Just Short in 88-84 Loss to Orediggers

The Basics
Score: Montana Western 84 – Montana Tech 88
Record: UMW (1-1, 0-1), MTU (2-2, 2-0)
Location: Straugh Gymnasium - Dillon, Mont.


Playing their first game in nearly a month, the Bulldogs were anything but rusty, shooting a blistering 52.9 percent in the first half to take a 50-41 lead into the halftime break. However, foul trouble and the Ordedigger's SIndou Diallo proved to much to overcome. Diallo lead all scorers with 35 points on 12-19 shooting and 10-12 from the charity stripe. The Orediggers as a team went 25-37 from the free throw line as they held on down the stretch to win 88-84. Max Clark led the Bulldogs with a 19 point 12 assist double-double.

  • Max Clark recorded a 19 point 12 assist double-double. 
  • Jamal Stephenson scored a team-high 20 points and three rebounds. 
  • Michael Haverfield scored 17 points and seven rebounds.
  • Sindou Diallo scored a gam-high 35 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
  • Markieth Brown Jr. scored 17 points and two assists.

  • The Bulldogs had four players score in double figures. 
  • The Bulldogs forced 19 turnovers and had three blocked shots.
