The Bulldogs second half surge was spearheaded by Paige Holmes, Brynley Fitzgerald and Shainy Mack as they pulled away down the stretch to beat the Argos of the University of Providence 66-52. Montana Western jumped out to an early lead before the offense sputtered for a bit allowing the Argos to take an eight point lead with three minutes remaining the in the first half. An 8-2 run to close the half gave the Bulldogs life as they cut the deficit to just two. The Bulldogs continued the hot streak by starting the third quarter on an 11-2 run to build their own eight point lead. Timely baskets down the home stretch of the third quarter held off any push the Argos could muster as the Bulldogs coasted on in the fourth quarter to the 14 point win.
