Orediggers Pull Away Late to Top Bulldogs 88-78

The Basics
Score: Montana Western 78 - Montana Tech 88
Records: UMW (3-7, 2-7), MTU (8-7, 8-5)
Location: HPER Complex - Butte, Mont.

Coming into the game the Bulldogs had to figure out how to stop Montana Tech's Sindou Diallo. Diallo had torched the Bulldogs for 35 and 31 points in the previous two meetings. Saturday night in Butte, the Bulldogs contained the front runner for conference player of the year to just 15 points. However, they didn't have an answer for Taylor England who scored 27, as he lead Tech to an 88-78 win. The game was back and forth, with neither team being able to really get any sort of a run going. With 12 minutes remaining, the Bulldogs held a one point lead before turnovers and missed shots allowed the Orediggers to jump to 10 point lead, which they would maintain the rest of the way.
